Desmond Chia, MBA MBus (Distinction)
Desmond Chia has many years of work experience in various business sectors including banking and finance, manufacturing and engineering, health care and life sciences, sales and marketing, accounting and human resources with companies ranging from start-up to public listed companies and held positions at various senior management levels as well as holding executive directorships prior to joining CandidateAsia. He holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Nottingham, a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing from Curtin University of Technology and a business degree from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. His conference papers were presented in the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy (ANZMAC) Conference 2008 and also published in Australian Research Online, Scientific Commons, Institute of Media and Communication Management, University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), WorldWideScience.org, etc. He is currently the Senior Consultant of CandidateAsia in HR Consulting and has successfully coached many Executives and Senior Managers in the areas of career development and organisational performance for many years.
Heidi Seet, BBus (Hons)
Heidi Seet has more than 15 years of working experience, spanning across small and medium sized-enterprises, multinational corporations and the public sector. Her core competence is in human resources, with exposure to regional human resources matters, full spectrum of human resources operations, recruitment, learning and development and organisational development. She was previously the Head of Learning Centre for a US Insurance multinational corporation. She has facilitated many in-house soft-skills workshops for internal staff, including Time Management, Performance Management Workshops, How to Facilitate Meetings, Purpose & Directions Workshops, Mind-Mapping, Personal Effectiveness, Maximising Training Effectiveness for Managers, etc. She graduated from Nanyang Technology University with a Bachelor of Business degree (Hons). She is currently the Senior Consultant of CandidateAsia in HR Consulting and is a certified 7 Habits Trainer, NLP, DISC, Harrison Assessment and other leading psychometric profiling instruments as well as a Six Sigma Green Belt holder.
Lee Tung Hon, MSc (MoT) MSc (C&IS)
Mr Lee graduated from the University of Toronto, Canada with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Physics in 1985, a Master of Science degree in Management of Technology in 1996 and a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences in 2000 from the National University of Singapore. He spent the next 25 rewarding years in Asia and held various engineering, software development, project and programme management, business development, consulting, senior management with various multinational and established regional companies serving the customers in the Insurance, Automobile, Aerospace, Shipbuilding, Telecommunication, Financial Services, Supply Chain & Logistics, Building and Construction, Business Process Outsourcing and Information Technology industries and the Public Sector. Due to his exposure and portfolio, he had left his footprint in Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Africa, Middle East, United Kingdom and United States. He is currently the Senior Consultant of CandidateAsia in HR Consulting as well as a Certified IT Project Manager.
Dr Ekin Sia, PhD MBA MSc
Dr Sia graduated with a Bachelor degree of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics with Honours from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. He then pursued a Master of Science in Communications Engineering from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in 2000 and secured a Master of Business Administration from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom in 2000. In 2003 he obtained a PhD in Semiconductor Physics awarded by Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany in conjunction with The National University of Singapore. He has also published a book in 2003 and his research papers were published in various international journals such as Applied Physics Letters and Physical Review B. With his specialisation, Dr Sia teaches Advanced Digital Systems, plus all Communications and Networks modules and also supervises all final year Engineering projects. Currently, Dr Sia is the Head of Academic Affairs with one of the leading public listed private education providers in Singapore and he is also an Adjunct Senior Consultant with CandidateAsia in HR Consulting.
